Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about Zaero Design aero parts - materials, fitment, installation and certification. Still need help? Contact us.
What are Zaero Design parts made of?
Our parts are moulded from durable, high-quality ABS plastic and finished in gloss black, supplied install-ready. They are designed and manufactured in Germany to OEM standards.
What finish do the parts come in?
Gloss black as standard, ready to fit straight out of the box. A small number of performance items - such as the EVO-S adjustable front splitter for the BMW M2 G87 - ship in a matte satin finish, noted on the product page.
Are the parts certified?
Yes. The structural aero parts carry a TUV certificate (ABE), the German type-approval standard for vehicle parts. Non-structural trim such as grilles is classed as non-critical and does not require certification. Always check your local regulations for road use in your region.
How do I know a part fits my car?
Every product page lists exact fitment - the model, chassis code and year range it is designed for. Match your car's chassis (for example BMW M2 G87 or VW Golf R Mk8) to the fitment list before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us with your model, year and trim.
How are the parts installed?
Most parts are Plug and Play and include the mounting hardware or factory pre-applied 3M tape needed to fit them. Some front splitters bond with 1K-PU adhesive (sold separately where noted), and certain diffusers reuse the OEM bolts and clips. Detailed installation instructions are included with every part.
Do I need a workshop to fit them?
No. The direct-fit design means most parts can be installed at home with basic tools. Tape-on spoilers take just a few minutes; bonded splitters need a little more care and curing time.
Will fitting a part affect my warranty or require a tune?
These are cosmetic and aerodynamic parts - they do not require an engine tune or remap, and on most applications they attach to the factory bumper or bodywork without permanent modification.
Are the parts available in carbon fiber or matte black?
No. Parts are produced in gloss black ABS, aside from the noted matte satin exceptions. Carbon fiber is not offered.
Where are the parts made?
Designed, developed and manufactured in Germany to OEM standards.
